English Coursework

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as me in finding what books to use for their coursework. I found it quite hard and first thought of playing it safe by going with 'Dracula' and 'Frankenstein', which is what i put down to do. Although thinking about it today, i realised that i should do some books which i will enjoy. So I've decided to go for a genre that interests me and the two books I've chosen are; 'Blackout' by Chris Ryan and 'Black Wind' by Andy McNab. Just wondering what your views are on these books (if you have any) and if you think they should be good for this c/w. Both are Military based and i was going to compare the two different styles.

You will need to convince me that these novels are sufficiently rigourous to study at A level. At this stage I don't think they are suitable.

Please refer to the original list I gave you for inspiration.

Come and chat with me, Ollie :)
